Description

Luxury Scottish wool cape, handmade in our home based atelier in the heart of Edinburgh. This cape is a one-off design.
The outer layer is a gorgeous wool representing the dress Gordon tartan, and the inner layer fabric is a very soft deep navy blue wool, both from Johnston of Elgin. Their Hawick and Elgin mills have been knitting and weaving the finest Cashmere and woollen products for more than 220 years. Both are extremely soft to the touch, even to the most sensitive skins.

The cape is coming with a decorative and functional vintage pewter Scottish brooch. It is ornated with a hand, holding a Ducal Cap of Maintenance surmounted by a rose, and the motto of the Buchanan Society “Audaces judo”, translated as “I help the brave”. One size fits all, but it looks better on people being 5’1 and taller.
